Let me tell ya about Jim. He worked with Typewriter I make stuff up shirt 20 other people. For sure he was the only one over 40. I worked in a different department but would see him all the time. Now if someone called in sick it was really no big deal because the team was so big. Jim never called in sick, cashed all his sick hours in every year. He would burn his vacation time and leave early on Friday to go fishing. One day Jim has a family emergency he was going to miss a couple of weeks. Everyone wished Jim well and we would see him in a couple of weeks. Well, no one expected the next two weeks to go the way they did. Even from my department, I was shocked at how bad things got by day 4 of no Jim. By day 8&9 it was really bad.
When Jim finally came back it was like the Typewriter I make stuff up shirt Messiah had returned. That older dude was as valuable as 10 youngsters. Most managers know this. When it was time to leave, she couldn’t find one of them. It was awful. We were all frantically calling this girl’s name to no avail. No one else except for one mom and her son, who happened to be our age and in our grade at school, had come while we were there, and the mom and her boy were still there when we went to leave, so we had no idea where this girl went.
